The Wackness

I just saw The Wackness. This movie is fuckin sick. It takes place in NYC, NY in '94, just around the time the golden age of East Coast Hip-Hop was starting. It's about every male high school graduate. The attitude where it's like fuck your parents, fuck girls, and just fuck the world. To me I was definately a fan of this movie because of the setting and soundtrack. It's '94, The WU, NaS, & Biggie are just killing the airwaves. And this movie does a great job of taking the songs of the time and placing it in scenes that fit it. To me this era, shits on ours. All the shit we call classic was coming out during this time. How I would love to be around when people would say, "Did you hear about that new MC, The Notorious BIG?" It wasn't about money or making up stupid dances. It was about the music. If you're a fan of Hip-Hop, you have to watch this movie. Please do, just to give respect to the golden era.
